The StarPilot app provides advanced features for celestial navigation computations on your iPhone or iPod touch. It offers precise celestial sight reductions for various celestial bodies, along with mathematical and graphic solutions for different navigation calculations. Some key functionalities include position fixes, great circle, rhumb line, traverse and composite sailings, piloting solutions, lunar distance method for GMT determination, a graphical Sight Planner, and a Sight Analyzer tool to enhance accuracy in sight readings.

StarPilot serves as a comprehensive solution for ocean navigation with upgradable options through free downloadable updates. The user-friendly interface, logical menu lists, and contextual help resources contribute to a seamless user experience. The app operates independently without requiring external resources or internet connectivity, ensuring self-sufficiency during navigation computations.

Highlighted program design features include time-saving mechanisms, easy menu navigation, stored settings for common values, integrated DR and celestial functions, plotting capabilities for LOPs, fixes, DR positions, and star maps. The app also offers quick access to frequently used functions through a custom menu bar for efficient usability.
